In love with films

Movie Flower, as well as Focus Producers, are companies founded by Julita Świercz Wieczyńska and Rafal Wieczyński, who have been producing feature films, documentaries and television forms for more than 30 years now.

JULITA is a producer and writer, while RAFAL is a writer and director.
"Our debut comedy production: "A Really Short Film About Love, Killing And One Other Feeling" was premiered at the Venice Film Festival’s Critics Week, and won few international prizes.
Our latest big feature film - "Freedom Is Within Us. Popiełuszko" is a historical epic about Solidarity movement in 1980'. It gained over 1,3 million admissions in Poland and has been widely distributed in many territories maintaining enduring popularity on televisions and streaming platform Amazon. It was awarded with 6 different prizes.

For over a decade, Julita served as the executive producer and Rafal as the artistic director of a popular weekly TV magazine for youth, completing over 400 short documentaries, several of which were directed and edited by Rafal. About 70 future filmmakers and reporters took their first steps under our supervision. In spite of that we produced musical concerts and music videos.

We engage in projects with global potential, acting as either main or co-producers, always with a focus on relevant, timely issues. We are have co-production experience with France, Germany, Italy and the US. We are developing current projects with partners from Spain, UK, Italy and Germany.

For several years, we were actively involved in the social and professional life of the Polish film community, working voluntarily to create safeguards against project theft and playing a key role in initiating and implementing an automatic incentive scheme for audiovisual production in Poland. Rafał served as a member of the Polish Film Institute Chamber for three years.
